How are the people supposed to be uncovering the portrait of the migrant?

Mick H

The image is covered with a heat-sensitive paint which becomes transparent when warm. So if enough people lie down, the underlying image will be revealed through body heat.

But a) people don't care, and b) the heat-sensitive paint doesn't work very well anyway. So kids slide on it, and a few people wander in to the little room on the side and get subjected to a nasty chemical which stings their eyes.

And that's it.

Michael van der Riet

Art is when you take reality and frame it. A short note to put it in context is okay, but a long-winded explanation is a frank admission that the work doesn't work.

Thanks Mick.
