Enver Hoxha's legacy:
The Stalinist dictator built around 750,000 of these above-ground concrete bunkers, spread across the country, in fear of a foreign invasion. That's at least one bunker for every four Albanians. Not houses, or factories, or schools, or hospitals: these ugly monuments to brutal paranoia are what remain from 40-odd years of communist rule.
