Vivian Maier, 1926 - 2009, was a Jewish refugee from war-time France who photographed the Chicago streets from the 50s to the 70s, but never published in her lifetime.
John Maloof acquired her collection of over 40,000 negatives at auction, and has now set up a website devoted to her work.
