"... while a lot had been said and written about the Arab Palestinian refugees, and a little about the Jewish refugees from Arab countries, virtually nothing has been said about the first waves of refugees in this cycle of violence, that of British Palestine’s Jewish refugees.

They fled murderous Arab violence in Jaffa in 1921, where their number dropped from over 12,000 to 5,087.[-]

They fled Hebron in 1929 following the massacre.

And in 1936 over 10,000 Jews fled violence and destruction: From Jaffa, Hebron, and various neighborhood in Jerusalem and Haifa were there was a mix Jewish Arab population."
