"gives formerly occupied lands to Black farmers"

If that were true, Zimbabwe's problems would only be half what they are. Mugabe gave what were successful white owned and run farms to his cronies, most of whose acquaintance with spades was solely their use in digging graves for their opponents. Many such farms have now gone to ruin, with the black farm workers, who might have made a go of it, kicked out by Mugabe's thugs.

Even more depressing is the support for Mugabe's "land reforms" from Jacob Zuma, the prospective leader of South Africa - the one country that could save Zimbabwe from utter ruin. http://tinyurl.com/ygqr2x
