I would feel more secure if the US and Russia could work together more. Phrases like "Russia's legitimate security interests" and "..a Russo-American security arrangement that addresses Moscow’s fears — and capitalizes on such commonalities..." seem the right direction to take.

It's the sort of thing I would have associated with the Democrats in the past, but I don't think we'll be hearing much from them until they can chew off their anti-american wing. Bush doesn't seem sophisticated enough to pull it off. Maybe if he started handing over to Rice now he could preserve his legacy.
