Not at all sure what to make of this, from English Russia:
This is a unique and rare video. It was shot in Moscow in 1962. This is how they tried to struggle [sic - strangle, I think they mean] the influence of the West. The dance was called “The Parody of the Western Dance” or “Back to Monkey”.
On the one hand you can see how the dancers are trying to emphasise the crudeness of the moves, but on the other hand....it's not at all bad. Certainly more exciting than dying swans.
Something of an own goal, perhaps?
