Mona Eltahawy on sexual harrassment in Egypt.
Previously. And here.
Hard to imagine they were making films like this in Cairo just over 50 years ago.

Mona Eltahawy was involved in a silly NYC subway incident where she acted like a little fool. But I guess the situation in her home country is now so messed up that she has no clear right or wrong stances.

Yes, I saw that. As you say, silly stuff, defacing one of Pamela Geller's posters. She's an outspoken Muslim feminist, which is a tricky balancing act, I imagine. Still, good luck to her.
I was surprised, hearing her speak, how British her accent sounded, considering she's lived in NYC for awhile.
