He's best known for his Coney Island pictures. I don't know where in New York this is, but I'm fairly sure it's not Coney Island.

On seeing this I thought, "this must be that photographer I liked years ago" (early 70's). On checking it was actually Feininger! If you don't allready know of his work some of his photographs are here.
