Ali may find it impossible to believe that the West is defending the people in Libya, but lacking Ali's sophistication, plenty of Libyans believe it. Ali probably sees himself as a revolutionary. If so, he's a very bizarre kind of revolutionary, one who would rather see a revolution drowned in blood than have it defended by the West.
