Paul at Setting the Woods on Fire compiles his 100 Favourite Dylan Songs. They're in alphabetical order, in case you're wondering, as I did for a minute, what "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" is doing at number one.
Nothing much to argue with, especially from someone who thinks, as I do, that "Highway 61 Revisited" is Dylan's greatest album. The only omission that occurs to me at the moment is the wonderful "Please Mrs Henry" from the Basement Tapes, but really what's remarkable is the depth of the Dylan catalogue. 100 songs, and there's still plenty of room for argument. As Paul writes, "putting this list together has reinforced my opinion that Bob is the greatest popular music artist of the 20th century".
